Department of Electrical Engineering

Department of Electrical Engineering was established in the year 2012, approved by AICTE New Delhi and affiliated to Savitribai Phule Pune University. Department is equipped with the state of art equipment’s and Laboratories with excellent computational facilities. Conducive environment exists in the department for both staff and students. Electrical Engineering is versatile and ever-green branch of Engineering. An Electrical Engineer can work in various specialized areas like Instrumentation & Control Engineering, Power Engineering, Switchgear & Protection Engineering, Dynamic Systems and Controls, Energy Audit & Management Systems, and most importantly in software field also. Quality technical education is imparted to the students in the area of Electrical Engineering. The department has a student association namely – EESA- Electrical Engineering Students Association which came in the year 2017-18.This association is well engaged in organizing the events like Teachers Day, Engineers Day, Sports events, Debate Competition, Quiz Competition on department and interdepartmental level.

Department is headed Prof. Ganesh G. Gadhave with his graceful experience of 08 Years in Teaching. The Department has qualified, devoted team of teaching members. The various faculties of the department have presented/ published papers in National/International conferences, National/International journals. The students of the department have presented papers/ participated in various National level events and won the prizes. The students of final year topped the university examination with rank 7th. For all round development of the students various expert lectures/workshop, technical tours/industrial visits, Soft Skill workshop, are organized in various areas of Electrical Engineering and allied fields regularly. The academic results at various university examinations are excellent. Many multinational companies come to conduct campus placement. Department of Electrical Engineering aims to establish center of excellence in various areas of electrical engineering such as Power Quality, Energy management, audit, conditioning monitoring and to offer value added services to industries as well as society.
