Shri Someshwar Shikshan Prasarak Mandal was established in 1972 by Late Shri. Mugutrao (Appa) Sahebrao Kakade (Deshmukh) the Founder President of Shri Someshwar Sahakari Sakhar Karkhana Limited, Someshwarnagar, Tq. Baramati, Dt. Pune, Maharashtra, India, in order to impart quality education in diversified areas. Someshwar Shikshan Prasarak Mandal , runs Someshwar Public School, Highschools, Junior college of Science within 25 years and have our impressive footprints in the rural surrounding of Baramati taluka. Since 1975 our Sanstha has also put efforts to establish institutes for Higher and Technical Educational. Someshwar Shikshan Prasarak Mandals Someshwar Science College was established in 2007. Someshwar Polytechnic was established in the year 2010. Sharadchandra Pawar College Of Engineering and Technology College was established in the year 2012 under the guidance of our respected Hon. Shri. Sharadchandraji Pawar.
Under the precious guidance of Hon. Shri. Ajitdada Pawar and Hon. Sou.Supriyatai Sule the Sanstha is setting a standard in higher and Technical Education. President Hon. Shri. Purushottam Jagatap, the board of directors and members of Someshwar Sahakari Sakhar Karkhana who are also on the board of Someshwar Shikshan Prasarak Mandal, provide support and directions from time to time.

Shri Someshwar Shikshan Prasarak Mandals Sharadchandra Pawar College of Engineering and Technology, Someshwarnagar established in 2012, is one of the self-financed Engineering colleges approved by AICTE New Delhi, Government of Maharashtra and DTE Mumbai. The institute is affiliated to Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU). The institute offers Engineering Courses in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Computer Engineering and Electrical Engineering leading to BE degree as per SPPU University Curriculum.
